My Secondary Profession - Guild Wars Forums

I did a search on this and I didn't find anything pertaining to my specific question.

I just started this game yesterday and now i'm level 5. I got the quest to get a Secondary profession a while ago but I just can't make up my mind which would be a good secondary for a Ranger. I've thought about Monk and Warrior so far, but I don't know much about how Secondary Professions work and I was hoping some of you can help me out. (I Read the manual, it didn't go deep into the topic about Secondary professions).

Soo.... How do secondary professions work exactly? Any help is much appreciated.

Secondary profession simply expands your attribute point and skills abilities, by choosing monk you will be able to use all of thier spells, etc for the other classes

Your primary depicts what armor you can wear as well as skills

Honestly there is no wrong choice with character creation, theres enough skills in the game that in the end all character combinations will work out in some way

though your secondary profession will be weaker then if it were your primary due to the loss of that profession's primary attribute.

Unless you really go and use the second profession more then you use the primary, which in some builds actually works. Atleast, to my experience.
